VirtualBestie ("we", "our", "us") operates the VirtualBestie iOS app and virtualbestie.app website. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Information We Collect

• Account information: email address and display name you provide when creating an account.
• Content you create: snippets, folders, images, and team workspace data you add to the app. This is stored in our Supabase backend and is only accessible to you and the team members you share with.
• Authentication data: session tokens managed by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in.
• Device identifiers: an anonymous device ID used to enable push notifications (if you opt in).

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your keystrokes from the VirtualBestie keyboard extension.
• We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking cookies.
• We do not sell or rent your data.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core features of the app (saving snippets, syncing across devices, team sharing).
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) via Resend.
• To send push notifications you have opted into.

Service Providers

We rely on these third parties to operate the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Apple Push Notification Service — push notifications.
• Stripe — subscription billing (if applicable).

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
